Although I usually do not to advertise artwork on this site, from time to time certain paintings do attract my attention. Wade Meyers is certainly one of my favourites and I admit to owning two of his quality prints (more information on Wade's artwork below). By my friend and fellow historian Peter Randall (www.littlefriends.co.uk) -> also see links page, I was informed of the fact that another artist recently has done a wonderful P-51-related job. The artist's name is Nat Quick and I am particularly impressed with the choice of subject and the setting (see below): "PIN UP GIRL" by Nat Quick
This artwork depicts two P-51's of the 479th FG 435th FS over snow-covered land after having brought down a German Focke-Wulf FW-190D. The nearest aircraft is nicknamed "Pin Up Girl" - see a close-up of the original in a rare WW 2 color photo below:

Wade Meyers' latest artwork depicts a flight of late P-51D's of the 4th FG 334th FS - nearest aircraft is nicknamed "Sweet Arlene".

Another airtwork of Wade depicts the most famous P-51B of the 4th FG 336th FS, i.e. "Shangri-La".
